By car: Coming from Accra (capital of Ghana) by motorway in direction of Tema at the roundabout before Tema follow the directions to Afflao (road to Togo). After about 70 km (43 miles) in Kasseh, also called Ada Junction, stay to the right toward Ada. Follow the road passing by Big Ada, soon after you come to the village Ada Foah. See the petrol station to the left, shortly after that you come to a crossing, called the “Roman Junction” (because of the Roman Catholic church at the crossing). Opposite the church, on the right, there lies the Ezime Guesthouse (painted white). Distance from Accra to Ada Foah about 130 km (81 miles).

By tro tro: Best to take a taxi from Accra to the Tema roundabout. There is a large tro tro station there (ask for “Aflao Station“), from where tro tros drive directly to Ada Foah all day. (By the way: Ada is accented on the 2nd “a”, the following Foah is more or less unaccented, so the name is pronounced “Adáfo”).

We recommend to visitors arriving from Europe in Ghana via airplane to spend at least the first night in Accra. This is because all European airlines (LH, Alitalia, KLM) arrive at the airport in Accra- Kotoko (Ghana) only in the evening. Due to unsafe traveling conditions in light of the early onset of darkness in the tropics, we would like to advise against a direct continuation of your journey to Ada Foah. We will be happy to arrange a convenient and moderately-priced hotel in Accra, where our local staff can meet and accompany you to Ada Foah at no additional fee, except for the actual travel costs.
